Summary:The tidal freshwater pond used had low water and soil ph of 4.5 and 4.3 respectively. Water entered the pond through incoming tide. The rearing pond of 0.25 ha was limed at the dosage of 125 kg, fertilized with 500 kg, 25 kg and 37.5 kg of chicken manure, urea and NPK respectively. After 100 days of rearing juvenile prawn stocked at 723 (averaged weight 0.37 g) had a survival rate of 50.5 and weight of 19.5 g.
