Summary:An experiment was carried out to study the effect of crude fibre levels in diet on eggs production of Lohmann Brown laying hens at Tabanan-Bali, located about 50 m above sea levels. The design of the experiment was a completely Randomized Design (CRD), consisted three levels of crude fibre in diet, i.e. 5.7 percent as control (A), 12.1 percent (B) and 13.9 percent (C) respectively. Each treatment was in six replicates with two laying hens in each replicate. All diets were both in isocalory (2750 Ccal/kg) and isoprotein (CP 17 percent). Diets were mash form and offered ad libitum. The results of the experiment indicated that egg production, egg weight and Feed Conversion Ratio were not significantly different (P more than 0.05) in all treatments, but in treatment C (CF 13.9 percent), feed and water consumption were 2.71 percent and 16.83 percent respectively significantly higher (P less than 0.05) than control (CF 5.7 percent). It was concluded that the increase of crude fibre (5.7 percent, 12.1 percent and 13.9 percent) in diets had no effect on the egg production, egg weight and feed efficiency, on Lohmann Brown laying hens aged 32-40 weeks Penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mempelajari pengaruh tingkat serat ransum terhadap produksi telur ayam Lohmann Brown, dilaksanakan di Kabupaten Tabanan-Bali yang terletak 50 meter dari atas permukaan laut. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan tiga perlakuan tingkat serat kasar ransum masing-masing: (5,7 persen sebagai kontrol (A), 12,1 persen (B) dan 13,9 persen (C). Tiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak enam kali dan pada tiap-tiap ulangan menggunakan dua ekor ayam Lohmann Brown umur 32-40 minggu dengan berat badan homogen. Ransum disusun isokalori (2750 Kkal/kg) dan isoprotein (17 persen) dalam bentuk tepung. Pemberian ransum dan air minum ad libitum. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat serat kasar ransum (5,7 persen, 12,1 persen dan 13,9 persen) tidak berpengaruh nyata (P lebih besar dari 0,05) terhadap produksi telur, berat telur total, berat telur rata-rata dan FCR. Konsumsi ransum dan air minum meningkat secara nyata (P lebih kecil dari 0,05) pada tingkat serat kasar ransum 13,9 persen masing-masing 2,71 persen dan 16,83 persen lebih tinggi dari pada kontrol. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa peningkatan serat kasar ransum dari 5,7 persen menjadi 12,1 persen dan 13,9 persen) ternyata tidak berpengaruh terhadap produksi telur ayam Lohmann Brown umur 32-40 minggu
