Summary: | The objective of this experiment was to study the effects of addition of top soil and soil conditioner on the tailings media (waste of cooper, gold and silver mining operation) on the growth of Acacia mangium and Paraserianthes falcataria seedling inoculated with Rhizobium and mycorrhiza. The experiment was conducted at the laboratory of forest biotechnology IUC IPB and screenhouse of PT Freeport Indonesia Irian Jaya, from March until October 1998. The addition of top (10 percent v/v) and soil conditioner (biogrow-1 & biogrow-2) had significantly improved the growth performance of A. mangium and P. falcataria and the development of nodulation, however did not on mycorrhizal development. The effect of soil conditioner (biogrow-1 & biogrow-2) was not significantly on A. mangium, but the biogrow-2 give significantly effects on P. falcataria |
