Summary: | There is a big issue that the efficiency of P-application in Indonesian soil is very low. One of alternative to solve the problem is using phosphate solubilizing microorganism. Phosphate solubilizing microorganism has an ability to dissolve P become available for crops. The objective of this research was to collect isolate of P solubilizing microorganism from soil and to determine their capabilities in solubilizing P of a relativity in soluble P source. The soil microorganism were isolated from primary forest, secondary forest, rubber plantation, shifting cultivation, and cogon grass from Sekadau subdistrict, District of Sintang, West Kalimantan. The results showed that almost isolates were potential as phosphate solubilizing microorganism. The phosphate solubilizing capabilities of each isolate is varied. Twenty of them, i.e. 2Kk4, lLb4, lHp4, 2Hs1, and lHs4 have an ability to dissolve rock phosphate with increasing P soluble varied 27-35 times from control: 1Hp2, 1Hp3, 2HS1, 1Lb1, and 1Lb3 have an ability to dissolve AIPO4 with increasing P soluble varied 25-45 times; 2Hp4, 1Lb5, 2Lb2, lHp1, and 1Aa2 have an ability to dissolve FePO4 with increasing P soluble varied 6-9 times; 2Aa4, 1Hs5, 1Lb2, 1Kk5 and 1 Aa4 have an ability Ca3(PO4)2 with increasing P soluble 5-6 times |
