Summary:Clown loach (Botia macracantha Bleeker) brood-stocks caught from Batanghari River, Jambi were implanted with cholesterol-based pellet of LHRH - analogue des Gly at the power of 10 [D-Ala at the power of 6] Sigma Chemical at 100, 150, 200 microgram/kg of body weight. After one month treatment, the female gonades developed to stages IV and V compared to the control which only reached gonade maturation stage II. The eggs started to reach vitellogenesis when they were 350 micro of diameter. Vitellogenesis was completed in eggs with diameter of 800 um. The minimum dosage of LHRH-a effective for gonade maturation was 10 micro /kg
