Summary:Besides other factors the variety also determine the vine-stock condition and the early vine-stock death. On high cordone trelling system the least vine-stock missing was registered at occidentalis convarietas and orientalis convarietas caspica subconvarietas. If we take the frost out of our considetation we experience that the susceptibility to death is in connection with vigour, applicability for high cordone, loading sensitivity and root-stock affinity. The higher death rate of certain pontus varieties (Izsaki, Mezes, Ezerjo, Budai varieties) is caused by higher loading sensitivity.
