Summary:Author developed a sandwich ELISA procedure for measuring the concentration of IBDV antigen so as to follow viral multiplication in the sourse of vaccine production. Purification of detecting antibody by affinity chromatography eliminated background reactions in a large measure. Immunoassay sensitivity was found to be about 10000 TCID50/0.1 ml. The immunoassay provides a simple, rapid method for following virus purification and concentration. Results of infectivity titrations in cell cultures paralelled with those obtained by sandwich ELISA.
