Summary:The investigations were carried out on brown lessive sandy loam soil during the period of 1969...1990. Within the limits of field experiments productivity and yield quality of barley depending on the soil-climatic resources, on the fertilization, sowing time and cultivars were studied. On the basis of the results of field experiments it was established that the most important factors limiting the barley yield are weather conditions. The relative influence of weather on barley productivity is twice as strong as the effect of fertilization and three times stronger than the impact of the sowing time. It is connected with the facts, that the total precipitation during the vegetative period annually varies more than 4...5 times and the sum of active temperature accordingly 1.5-2 times
