Summary: | For calculating metabolizable protein, likewise RDP and UDP the following coefficients are necessary: degradability of protein in the rumen (DEG), coefficient calculating the conversion of RDP into microbial protein, digestibility of microbial protein in small intestine, digestibility of UDP in small intestine. The Nordic System takes also into account the proportion of amino acids in microbial protein and proportion of amino acids in rumen undegraded protein. In this work the corresponding data of French (INRA), English (ARC), American (NRC) and Scandinavian scientists are discussed. Unitaried coefficients are shown in table 4. To estimate the AAT-content of feeds, the following formula of Nordic system was used: AAT=0,125. DCHO. 0,85 + PI (1 - DEG). CAA. 0,82 while. DCHO - digestible carbohydrates (g/kg dry matter), PI - protein intake (g/kg dry matter), CAA - proportion of amino acids in UDP. In the table 5 the data with metabolizable protein content of Estonian feed are given. There are likewise RDP and UDP content of these feed shown in this table |
