Summary:The paper is created to describe a tool for visualizing and analysing processes of heat flux in Solar Collectors that should be used in order to generate possibilities for improving construction of Solar Collrctors and for justifying the choice of specific materials. The electrical substitution scheme also should be used in order to better describe heat flow processes in Solar Collectors. Classical methods of heat engineering may be used for determining parameters of the electrical substitution scheme. POWERSIM -software for modelling systems and simulating processes connected with the systems - was used to describe the dynamics of the processes. Usage of POWERSIM is an innovative way for treating the problems connected with Solar Collectors. The used treatment makes it easy to explain how heat flux processes occur while at the same time using strict scientific rules and achieving high accuracy. The model and treatment is also applicable for educational purposes. The model created in POWERSIM environment allows simulating of processes of heat flux in Solar Collectors and easier study of processes connected with the Collector. During the simulation, it is possible to change the parameters of the Collector materials and to study the results of the change of the parameters. Therefore, by way of simulation, it is possible to estimate how the parameters of the Collector materials affect the effectiveness of the Collector operations. At the case under studying were foun that the reflection of the Solar Collector covering material influences the effectiveness of Solar Collector more than absorption coefficient of surface of radiation absorber. The model can also be used for explaining the principles of the work of Solar Collectors in educational institutions
