This investigation was carried out at EESC-INIAP and Tandapi-Pichincha. The investigation was divided on: standardization of an evaluation protocol using detached leaves, plantelets and evaluation of genetic resistance in 64 accessions using detached leaves, plantelets and in the field. The variables taken from leaves were: incubation and latent period, lesion size, sporulation intensity, number of sporangia per lesion and spore viability; in plantelets: incubation and latent period, reaction type; in the field: number and size of the lesion in leaves, stems and inflorescence. A completely randomized design with five observations was used for the first part and the second part was used a Randomized Complete Block design with three repetitions, the experimental unit was a plant of Lasiocarpa Section. The evaluation of the standardization indicated that it is more efficientto do the inoculation in plantelets than in detached leaves. For evaluation of genetic resistance in 64 accessions using detached leaves, plantelets and in the field, it was observed that all species except S. hyporhodium and S. Pectinatum showed compatibility symptoms to P. infestans. |
