Summary:Since many years near infrared - as well as mid -IR-spectroscopy is used in dairy for quantitative analysis of milk contents. In recent times there are promising developments in qualitative analysis. That's it, what makes IR-spectroscopy to an important tool for the development of CIM (Computer Integrated Manufacturing)-conceptions in production and quality controlling of foodstuffs. A status-report is given about a purpose of IR data and calibrationstransfere per modem from the NIR hostsystem in MLUA Hannover-Ahlem to the NIR-satellitsystems in the dairies in Northern Germany.
