Summary:The number of different statistical tests has considerably grown in the last years. Some of these tests are not in common use, although they could be useful in practice. This has been the reason to present and discuss in this paper some of the less common tests. In the introduction, comments are made as regards to the testing of statistical hypothesis in general. The main part of the paper then describes nine tests of certain interest to both statisticals and hydrologists.
