It is the main breeding method for waxy corn to improve waxy corn varieties, waxy maize inbred lines and local waxy maize varieties with the valuable gene of common corn in China now. And it is the effective way of waxy maize germplasm enhancement. As time goes on, to exploit the second cycle lines of waxy maize would be the main m eans. It is very difficulty to breed high quality and high yield waxy corn with local waxy maize for first cycle lines.
