Study on McAB sandwich ELISA for the detection of EDSV

Sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (elisa) for detecting egg drop syndrome virus was developed by using three strains mono-clonal antibodies (McAbs). The optimal coating concentration of McAbs was 2 ug/ml working concentration of McAb-HRP was 1:400. The sensitivity of the McAb sandwich elisa...

Summary:Sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (elisa) for detecting egg drop syndrome virus was developed by using three strains mono-clonal antibodies (McAbs). The optimal coating concentration of McAbs was 2 ug/ml working concentration of McAb-HRP was 1:400. The sensitivity of the McAb sandwich elisa was 0.03 ug/ml. The assay had no cross reaction with common pathogenic microorganisms. 50 cloaca swab samples from infected birds were detected, resulting in positive rate of 84 (42/50).
