Summary:The productivity of forage production of three corn hybrids was evaluated on a heavy soil of Linares province (Chile) during the 1988/89 growing reason. Te experimental design was complete randomized blocks, three treatments and four replicates; corn was harvested at the soft dough to hard dough state. The dry matter production was not significantly (P 0.05) different between corn varieties. The maximun yields was 15.3 ton of dry matter/ha of the variety Tracy T-112T; the contribution of leaves, stems and bos was not significantly different (P 0.05). The crude protein, acid detergent fibre and soluble carbohidrates concentration in total dry matter did not show significant variations between corn varieties (P 0.05)
