Summary:In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there were shown the main trends of keeping healthy and strong bee family in autumn-winter period of its life. On the basis of physical and thermotechnical laws there were determined and substantiated the main processes of natural convection of alvearies. In course of the study there were presented results of calculation of feed consumption by one bee family in two-block beehive under different indexes of air moisture and temperature. Also there was shown the dependence of feed (honey) consumption depending on temperature and moisture conditions. There was analyzed the output of thermal energy of bee club for the ventilation of nest and keeping necessary temperature at its covering. There was calculated necessary and sufficient quantity of air exchanges of bee nest with increased under-frame space, which does not allow critical accumulation of carbon dioxide. There was presented calculation of the dependence of consumption of energetic feed on the temperature of surrounding air.
