Summary:Main parameters, which determine haylage quality, are its humidity and density. Optimal humidity of haylage is 55-60% and humidity should be about 550-600 kg per m3. Increase of humidity over 60% leads to putrefaction bacteria propagation and forage damage. For this reason influence of rainfall on the humidity of haylage is evaluated. Determining of the humidity during rainfall period is made, mathematical formulas are presented. Dependence of the humidity on average daily norm of rainfall is displayed. Received data demonstrate that laying of the haylage in moist weather leads to breakage of technological process of haylage conservation because of putrefaction bacteria propagation and mold appearance. For quality haylage conservation building of roofed repositories is necessary.
