Summary: | Review of the state of the reproductive process of cows on animal husbandry farms of the Republic of Belarus, analysis of the used methods of pregnancy and sterility control, applied methods of diagnostics, prophylaxis and therapy of delivery and postnatal period complications were presented. Statistical analysis of cows barrenness reasons on animal husbandry farms of the Republic showed that the highest ratio was formed by animals with the prolonged service period (6,1-14,4%). In course of 7-year investigation the following main reproductive performance diseases of cows were registered: placental retention (6,6-16,4%), subinvolution of uterus (17,8-46,8%), endometritis (27,4-35,0%), ovary hypofunction (14,6-27,1%) and persistence of corpus luteum (10,6-24,5%). Analysis of the postnatal period stages and peculiarities of the technological (control over feeds quality and full value feeding; control over metabolism and timely rations correction; control over dairy herd structure) and therapeutic (early tocological and gynecological clinical examination, prophylaxis and treatment) realization of control over the course of postnatal period and cows fertility with the help of early diagnostics of incalver period and infertility were realized. Results of the clinical trials of Pagos preparation application showed that it made it possible to lower the placental retention on 15,3% and subinvolution of uterus on 10,7% (in comparison with control groups) and increase cow fertility from 23,0 up to 32,6%. Administration of the complex preparation Endokur for the prophylaxis and therapy of cow endometritis lowered the postnatal complications on 8% in comparison with control group.
