Summary:Four cases of caecocolic intussusception are described. Two horses were peroperatively euthanised for different reasons. The two others were treated by ileocolostomy. One of them was followed over a period of more than one year and made a full recovery. The second one was euthanised during reoperation 1,5 month after the first intervention. A strangulation of the jejunum through a mesentric rent and postoperative adhesions were diagnosed. The clinical signs of ileocaecal intussusception and the technique for ileocolonic anastomosis are described.
