Structuring an environment to support learning through engagement can support the university achieving its mission. How? Effectively implementing a program of engagement throughout the learning environment suggests that the university has an infrastructure in place to support the institutionalization. This infrastructure for learning through engagement must support not only student learning and faculty scholarship, but also address the specific needs of the partnering organizations.
