Summary:The report describes Creative Resources Enriching Student Talents (C.R.E.S.T.), a Title IVC project designed to encourage individual creative growth in gifted/talented children by stimulating them to solve problems within the areas of academics and the creative arts; the program is used in elementary schools in Lebanon, a rural Connecticut community, to provide arts programming for gifted/talented students, to enhance their creativity and benefit the total school population. Techniques for identifying students with creative ability and talent in the arts are demonstrated, and the C.R.E.S.T. curriculum model for differentiating instruction using community resources and people is explained. Student evaluation methods are briefly discussed, and sample forms for evaluating student performance in creative behavior, pottery, creative communication, math lab, and folk music, and a C.R.E.S.T. evaluation form for student use are appended.
