Summary:This report comprises papers commissioned for the World Congress on Educating Engineers for World Development, sponsored by the International Division of the American Society for Engineering Education, and held in Colorado in June 1975. The purpose of the Congress was to bring about significant changes in the education of engineers and in the practice of engineering so that engineers will be more capable of attacking world development problems. Sixteen major papers from 12 countries are included and cover the following subject areas: energy resources development, industrialization, human settlements, planning and management of projects, agriculture and food systems, and technology and cultures.
