Summary:This book is divided into five parts. Part 1 examines the status of and trends in health education today, and includes a discussion of some basic prerequisites for effective teaching. The teacher's major duties and responsibilities in setting the stage for effective teaching are examined in part 2. Part 3 discusses the nature of and potentiality for creativity in the classroom. Part 4 provides examples of creative teaching as applied to the following topics at both elementary and secondary levels: mental health, human sexuality, drug education, alcohol education, and disease and environment. Part 5 explores the possibilities of creative evaluation and the teacher's continuing growth.
