Summary: | As a standard classification system, International Standard Classification of Education (ISCED) provides a standard format for assembling, reporting, and compiling statistics of different educational phenomena both within a country and internationally. The system classified courses, programs, and fields of education according to their educational content. The educational content of each course, program, and field is designated according to its level and its subject matter. The levels are assigned code numbers, the system of classification is explained, and direction is given to facilitate its use. Levels, fields, and programs are listed numerically and an alphabetical subject index is included. For related documents see TM003535 and TM003537. (RC) |
