Summary:Fabrics articles (29) are washed by layering them on a sheet of water-absorbent material (27) which is folded or rolled-up in wrap (1) to form a bundle, preferably inside a water-resistant wrap. A cleaning agent is first applied to the article and/or the water-absorbent material, before or after the article is laid on the latter. Compression of the bundle causes cleaning of the article.
