Summary:In a boot assembly for forming a dust seal between an axially movable guided member, such as a piston, and a guide member, such as a vehicle brake actuator housing, a seal which seals with the guide member is carried by a rigid carrier member and one part of the seal is movable relative to the carrier so as to be axially elongated and radially reduced in thickness during assembly thereby to reduce the force required to assemble the seal into position on the guide member.
