Summary:The soil warming installation for plant cultivation is designed to operate using tepid waste water from an industrial installation with average temperature and static pressure less than 45 deg.C and 10 cm. of water respectively. Temperature variations throughout the system are reduced and its operation simplified. On top of the soil is laid a network of waterways, made up from inlet header pipes (22, 16) and outlet header pipes (24, 18) of circular cross section. Joining these are smaller tubes of flattened cross section and made from a flexible rubber or plastic material with thin walls. Flow is maintained using a pump (21) fed (26) from a heat exchanger (28).
