| Summary: | A cable gland for an armoured cable is provided that has an elongate body having an entrance end and fitting end with a passage extending therebetween configured to slide over the armoured cable. A locating member having a flange which operatively abuts the entrance end is provided. A clamping assembly is securable to the entrance end by a coupler and includes a tubular member having a clamping end and a free end with a bore extending between them. The clamping end provides a clamping surface complementary to the flange of the locating member such that cable armour can be secured between the clamping surface and the flange. The elongate body and clamping member provide a constant internal diameter through the length of the cable gland configured to permit the cable gland to be placed over the armoured cable and moved along the armoured cable during assembly of the cable gland. |
