Summary:The present invention relates, inter alia, a method of selectively controlling weeds at a locus comprising crop plants and weeds, wherein the method comprises application to the locus of a weed controlling amount of a pesticide composition comprising an homogentisate solanesyltransferase (HST) inhibiting herbicide and/or hydroxyphenyl pyruvate dioxygenase (HPPD) inhibiting herbicide, wherein the crop plants comprise at least one recombinant polynucleotide which comprises a region which encodes an HST; to a method of selectively controlling weeds at a locus comprising crop plants and weeds, wherein the method comprises application to the locus of a weed controlling amount of a pesticide composition comprising an homogentisate solanesyltransferase (HST) inhibiting herbicide, wherein the crop plants comprise at least one recombinant polynucleotide which comprises a region which encodes a HPPD enzyme and to recombinant polynucleotides and vectors for utilised in the methods. The present invention further relates to a herbicidal composition comprising a HPPD-inhibiting herbicide and a HST-inhibiting herbicide.
