The invention described is a valve assembly adapted for use in an animal feeding teat and an animal feeding teat in combination with the above valve assembly. The valve assembly comprises: a piston shaft (10) with a piston head (12), a valve head (14) attached to the piston shaft (10) at the end of the shaft opposite the piston head (12), and biasing means (16) co-operable with said piston head (12), so that in use in an animal feeding teat said valve head (14) is seated to cover a first aperture (22) in said teat (17) and pressure on said piston head (12) against said biasing means (16) will unseat said valve head (14) and open said aperture (22). The invention described extends to a combination of the above valve assembly together with an animal feeding teat. La présente invention concerne un ensemble de soupape destiné à une tétine pour l'alimentation d'animaux et une telle tétine combinée audit ensemble de soupape. L'ensemble de soupape comprend les éléments suivants : arbre de piston (10) avec tête de piston (12), tête de soupape (14) solidaire de l'arbre de piston (10) par l'extrémité de l'arbre opposée à la tête de piston (12), et dispositif à ressort (16) coopérant avec la tête de piston (12) de telle sorte que lorsqu'elle utilisée dans une tétine pour l'alimentation d'animaux, ladite tête de soupape (14) obture une première ouverture (22) dans la tétine (7) et qu'en cas de pression exercée sur ladite tête de piston contre la force du dispositif à ressort (16) la tête de soupape (14) se soulève et libère l'ouverture (22). Cette invention concerne également une combinaison de l'ensemble de soupape décrit ci-dessus et d'une tétine pour l'alimentation d'animaux.
