An indoor unit of an air conditioner wherein a casing (1) houses a turbo fan for sucking air from a front part in an axial direction and discharging it out in a radial outer direction with respect to the axis and disposed with the axis of the turbo fan in a longitudinal direction of the casing. A heat exchanger is disposed inside the casing (1) and in the forward axial direction of the turbo fan, and a front panel (2) having a suction port (2a) at the front surface of the heat exchanger is provided in the casing (1). A mesh-like flat plate (4) having patterns printed on both surfaces thereof and capable of sucking air from the front side is fitted to the suction port (2a) of the front panel (2). This indoor unit can accommodate various patterns and colors at a reduced cost in accordance with the interior of a room, tastes of people, seasons, etc, and have dirt on the unit wiped off easily. La présente invention concerne un système intérieur d'air conditionné dans le quel un caisson (1) abrite un turboventilateur conçu pour aspirer de l'air axialement de la partie frontale et le décharger axialement vers l'extérieur par rapport à l'axe du turboventilateur, dans le sens longitudinal du caisson. Un échangeur de chaleur est disposé à l'intérieur du caisson (1) et dans le sens axial avant du turboventilateur, et un panneau frontal (2) avec un orifice d'aspiration (2a) est prévu sur la surface frontale de l'échangeur de chaleur à l'intérieur du caisson (1). Une plaque plate en quadrillage (4) présentant sur ses deux surfaces des motifs imprimés et capable d'aspirer l'air par la face frontale est fixée à l'orifice d'aspiration (2a) du panneau frontal (2). Ce système d'intérieur peut être réalisé pour un prix modique avec différents motifs et en différentes couleurs en fonction de l'intérieur de la pièce, du goût des gens, des saisons, etc. et présente l'avantage qu'il est facile d'en épousseter la saleté.
