The bands (38) do not interfere with casting of the line (10) or with a leader (32) attached to the line (10) but can be watched by the angler (18) to see when the line (10) stops drifting or changes direction, indicating a fish strike, the bands (38) and the spacing between the bands serving as a strike indicator. La présente invention concerne une ligne de pêche à la mouche (10) comportant plusieurs bandes (38) espacées le long d'une section (24) de la ligne pouvant être vue par le pêcheur (18). Les bandes (38) et l'espacement entre les bandes (38) sont conçus de façon que les bandes peuvent être discernées par le pêcheur (18) en cours d'utilisation. Les bandes (38) et l'espacement entre les bandes servant d'indicateur de prise, le pêcheur (18) peut observer les bandes (38), qui n'entravent pas le lancer de la ligne (10) et ne gênent pas l'avançon (32) attaché à la ligne (10), pour voir quand la ligne (10) cesse de dériver ou change de direction, ce qui indique qu'un poisson a mordu à l'hameçon.
