In accordance with another aspect of the invention, there is provided a method of operating the antenna. On décrit une antenne multimode utilisable dans un émetteur-récepteur radio multimode. Selon un aspect de la présente invention, on fournit une antenne radio ayant des fréquences de résonance utilisables pour recevoir et émettre des signaux radio dans différentes bandes de fréquence, suivant deux protocoles opératoires. Selon un autre aspect de l'invention, on fournit un procédé pour faire fonctionner l'antenne.
