Summary:An exhaust manifold device is provided to allow air to enter an exhaust manifold during normal operation of an engine to prevent exhaust gases being sucked into the cylinders via exhaust valves. Air can be supplied, via valves (18 and 21) to the exhaust manifold as required and, is supplied to the valve (21) at pressures, above atmospheric pressure, that increase with engine speed. Cette invention concerne un dispositif de collecteur d'échappement conçu pour permettre à l'air d'entrer dans un collecteur d'échappement au cours du fonctionnement normal d'un moteur, de façon à éviter que les gaz d'échappement ne soient aspirés par les cylindres par l'intermédiaire de soupapes d'échappement. L'air peut, ainsi que nécessaire, alimenter le collecteur d'échappement par l'intermédiaire de soupapes (18 et 21) et il alimente la soupape (21) à des pressions supérieures à la pression atmosphérique qui augmentent avec la vitesse du moteur.
