Summary:A compact injector armature valve assembly for a fuel injector (10) allowing the O-ring (16) to O-ring spacing (18) to be reduced. The armature valve assembly (52) is a cylindrical hollow magnetic piece, with a narrow necked down portion (42) to act as the receiving end for a ball (54), which is directly attached to the necked down portion. The attachment of the necked down portion by means of crimping or chemical bonding above the mid-point of the ball allows the strengths of a pivot style guidance scheme to be used. La présente invention concerne un assemblage compact de soupape à armature pour injecteur de carburant (10), qui permet de réduire la distance entre les deux joints toroïdaux (16 et 18). Cet assemblage (52) est une pièce magnétique cylindrique creuse (52), qui comporte une partie rétrécie étroite (42) servant d'extrémité réceptrice d'une bille (54) et qui est fixée directement à la partie rétrécie. La fixation de la partie rétrécie par sertissage ou liaison chimique plus haut que le centre de la bille permet de profiter de la résistance d'un système de guidage du genre pivotant.
