A package (10) comprising an array (11) of at least two substantially parallelepipedal packs (12), said packs (12) comprising compressed flexible articles (14) encased in a flexible bag (13), characterised in that a flexible paper covering (21) is diposed adjacent whole of bottom panel (16) and a substantial part of side panels (17, 18, 19, 20) corresponding to at least 30 percent of height H of said array (11), said paper covering (21) being held under tension around said array (11) so as to create a strong and protective outer casing for said array (11). Cette invention concerne un emballage (10) comportant un ensemble (11) constitué d'au moins deux paquets (12) ayant la forme de parallélépipèdes, lesdits paquets contenant des articles flexibles (14) enveloppés à l'intérieur d'un sac souple (13). Cet emballage se caractérise en ce qu'une enveloppe en papier souple (21) est disposée de manière adjacente à l'ensemble du panneau (16) constituant le fond de l'emballage et à une grande partie des panneaux latéraux (17, 18, 19, 20) correspondant à au moins 30 pour cent de la hauteur H dudit ensemble (11), ladite enveloppe en papier étant maintenue sous tension autour dudit ensemble (11) de façon à constituer un revêtement externe protecteur dudit ensemble (11).
