A thermally transferable protective film having firstly a water absorptive property and durability such as a weather resistance, chemical resistance, a solvent resistance and the like, and a color print, to which such a protective film is transferred so that it can be marked with a stamp or with watercolor inks. The thermally transferable protective film essentially comprises a thermally transferable protective layer which is laminated on a heat resisting base film, and it is thermally separated from the base film to cover a print on which a picture or the like is formed.
