Summary:A process for producing 1,1,1,2,3-pentafluoropropane which comprises hydrogenating 1,2,3,3,3-pentafluoro-1-chloropropene with hydrogen in vapor phase in the presence of a noble metal catalyst. This process serves to produce readily at a low cost 1,1,1,2,3-pentafluoropropane, which is useful and does not cause environmental destruction (i.e. is capable of environmental protection), from an inexpensive starting material in one stage. Un procédé qui permet de produire du 1,1,1,2,3-pentafluoropropane consiste à hydrogéner du 1,2,3,3,3-pentafluoro-1-chloropropène avec de l'hydrogène en phase vapeur en présence d'un catalyseur contenant un métal noble. Ce procédé permet de produire facilement à bas coût du 1,1,1,2,3-pentafluoropropane, produit utile et inoffensif pour l'environnement (et qui peut donc protéger celui-ci), à partir d'un matériau de départ bon marché, et en une seule étape.
