These steps are followed by removal of the axial force resulting in a product (36) which is segmented in accordance with the areas (26) of increased cross section and has a reduced free height. L'invention se rapporte à un procédé de production de dispositifs à corps creux segmentés (36) ainsi que les produits (36) obtenus selon le procédé. On effectue la segmentation en réalisant des zones (26) de coupe transversale supérieure sur la circonférence de la préforme (20) lesquelles sont ensuite comprimées axialement. On supprime ensuite la force axiale, ce qui permet d'obtenir un produit (36) segmenté au niveau des zones de coupe transversale supérieure qui présente une hauteur libre réduite.
