Summary:An aircraft is maintained at a constant glide slope and air speed by trimming delta torque commands provided by an autopilot (12). Delta torque commands that change by more than twenty percent are trimmed (22, 110) automatically to maintain the constant glide angle and to assist the pilot in maintaining air speed within 5 knots on the approach glide slope. Un avion est maintenu à un alignement de descente et une vitesse d'air constants par gestion des instructions de couple delta fournies par un pilote automatique (12). Les instructions de couple delta changeant de plus de 20 % sont gérées (22, 110) automatiquement afin de maintenir l'angle de descente à un niveau constant et afin d'aider le pilote à maintenir la vitesse d'air à U5 noeuds dans l'alignement de descente d'approche.
