Summary:A method of obtaining a chromium-containing refractory material provides for local initiation of an exothermic reaction in a mixture having the following contents: a chromium-containing component; 8 to 20 per cent by weight of a reducer consisting of one of the following metals: aluminium, magnesium, silicon, titanium, zirconium or their alloys, and 0.1 to 50 per cent by weight of a filler consisting of the following components taken separately or in combination: periclase, sand, clay, a refractory oxide, refractory scrap, blast furnace production waste, graphite production waste, silicon carbide production waste and a salt of an inorganic acid. Le procédé décrit consiste à initier localement une réaction exothermique dans un mélange ayant la teneur suivante: un constituant renfermant du chrome; 8 à 20 % en poids d'un réducteur composé de l'un des métaux suivants: aluminium, magnésium, silicium, titane, zirconium ou leurs alliages, et 0,1 à 50 % en poids d'une charge composée des constituants suivants pris séparément ou en combinaison: périclase, sable, argile, oxyde réfractaire, déchets réfractaires, déchets de production de haut fourneau, déchets de production de graphite, déchets de production de carbure de silicium et un sel d'un acide inorganique.
