The above composition provides ice crystal germs and thus leads to the freezing of droplets in super-cold clouds. It contains as the active ingredient the bacterial mass obtained from cultures of Pseudomonas syringae, Erwinia herbicola or Pseudomonas fluorescens or the mixtures or the cell membranes or super natant material of this cultures. The compositions prepared with liquid or solid carrier substances are injected by means of an aircraft or other method into the cloud layer where they result in the freezing of a large number of fine water particles even before a small number of large lumps of ice form in the absence of crystal germs. La composition ci-décrite forme des germes de cristaux de glace et permet ainsi de déclencher la congélation des gouttelettes dans les nuages refroidis à l'excès. Elle contient comme substance active la masse bactérienne obtenue à partir de cultures de Pseudomonas syringae, Erwinia herbicola ou Pseudomonas fluorescens ou bien de mélanges de celles-ci ou encore les membranes cellulaires isolées à partir de celles-ci ou le surnageant de ces cultures. Les compositions préparées avec des substances porteuses liquides ou solides sont introduites avec l'avion ou un autre moyen dans la couche nuageuse où elles provoquent une congélation des multiples particules fines d'eau avant même que ne se soient formés quelques rares gros morceaux de glace à défaut de germes cristallins.
