A composition for the extension and increase of the activity of herbicidal compositions containing as herbicidally active ingredient at least one carbamate and/or thiolcarbamate and/or chloroacetanilide and/or dichloroacetanilide derivative and optionally antidotes therefor, which comprises at least one thio- or dithiophosphoric acid ester of formula (I), wherein R stands for identical or different alkyl, alkenyl, isoalkyl, isoalkenyl, haloalkyl, haloalkenyl, isohaloalkyl or isohaloalkenyl groups, each containing up to 4 carbon atoms; R' represents identical or different alkyl, alkenyl, isoalkyl, isoalkenyl, haloalkyl, haloalkenyl, isohaloalkyl, isohaloalkenyl groups, each containing up to 4 carbon atoms; X is oxygen or sulfur, X1 is oxygen or sulfur, with the proviso that at least one of the X1 groups is other than oxygen. Composition pour étendre et accroître l'activité de compositions herbicides contenant comme ingrédient d'action herbicide au moins un dérivé d'un carbamate et/ou thiolcarbamate et/ou chloroacétanilide et/ou dichloroacétanilide et éventuellement leurs antidotes, laquelle composition comprend au moins un ester de l'acide thio- ou dithiophosphorique de formule (I), dans laquelle R représente des groupes, identiques ou différents, alkyle, alkényle, isoalkyle, isoalkényle, haloalkyle, haloalkényle, isohaloalkyle ou isohaloalkényle, chacun comportant jusqu'à 4 atomes de carbone; R' représente des groupes, identiques ou différents, alkyle, alkényle, isoalkyle, isoalkényle, haloalkyle, haloalkényle, isohaloalkyle, isohaloalkényle, comportant chacun jusqu'à 4 atomes de carbone; X est l'oxygène ou le soufre, X1 est l'oxygène ou le soufre, à condition qu'au moins l'un des groupes X1 soit autre que l'oxygène.
