Summary:In a single-base data communications network the data base includes at least two data base units (1-3) which are geographically separated from each other but otherwise identical and connected to data terminals (6-14) by a telecommunications network (15-35). Each data base unit is connected to at least one of connecting notes (15-22) of the communications network, provided with path selectors, and includes an updating transmitter/receiver which is connected by permanent established connections (4-5) to the updating transmitter/receiver of the other data base units. The data base units include selecting means (36-38) which generate designation signals for selecting one of the base units at a time as an executive unit. The randomly generated designation signal is transmitted at least to the data base unit selected as the executive unit to start its selecting means and updating transmitter (43), and to all the path selectors of the network which control calls from the data terminals to the executive unit. The updating transmitter of the executive unit works until all data needed for updating the other data base units is transmitted. Dans un reseau de communication de donnees a base simple, la base de donnees comprend au moins deux unites de base de donnees (1-3) qui sont separees geographiquement l'une de l'autre mais sont identiques et connectees a des terminaux de donnees (6-14) par un reseau de telecommunications (15-35). Chaque unite de base de donnees est connectee a au moins l'un des noeuds de connection (15-22) du reseau de communications, et pourvue de selecteurs de circuit, et comprend un emetteur/recepteur de mise a jour qui est raccorde par des connections etablies permanentes (4-5) a l'emetteur/recepteur de mise a jour des autres unites de base de donnees. Les unites de base de donnees comprennent des moyens de selection (36-38) qui generent des signaux de designation pour selectionner l'une des unites de base a un moment donne en tant qu'unite executrice. Le signal de designation genere au hasard est transmis au moins a l'unite de base de donnees selectionnee en tant qu'unite executrice pour mettre en route ses moyens de selection et son emetteur de mise a jour (43), et a tous les selecteurs de circuit du reseau qui commandent les appels provenant des terminaux de donnees et allant a l'unite executrice. L'emetteur de mise a jour de l'unite executrice travaille jusqu'a ce que toutes les donnees necessaires pour la mise a jour des autres unites de base de donnees soient transmises.
