The present invention relates to a textile identification system for identifying textile subjects, wherein said identification system comprises: a conveyor for moving an associated textile subject in a first direction, a visible light emitter for emitting light within a visible wavelength spectrum, a colour image sensor for measuring light within a visible wavelength spectrum, an infrared light emitter for emitting light within an infrared wave-length spectrum, an infrared light sensor for measuring light within an infrared wave-length spectrum, a radiation emitter for emitting radiation within an X-ray spectrum or gamma ray spectrum, a radiation sensor for measuring radiation within an X-ray spectrum or a gamma spectrum, a database system adapted to at least retrieve, store and process the data measured by the sensors. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for identification of a textile subject and moreover to a computer program and a computer-implemented method of classifying textile subjects. La présente invention concerne un système d'identification de textile pour identifier des sujets textiles, ledit système d'identification comprenant : un transporteur pour déplacer un sujet textile associé dans une première direction, un émetteur de lumière visible pour émettre de la lumière dans un spectre de longueur d'onde visible, un capteur d'image couleur pour mesurer la lumière dans un spectre de longueur d'onde visible, un émetteur de lumière infrarouge pour émettre de la lumière dans un spectre de longueur d'onde infrarouge, un capteur de lumière infrarouge pour mesurer la lumière dans un spectre de longueur d'onde infrarouge, un émetteur de rayonnement pour émettre un rayonnement dans un spectre de rayons X ou un spectre de rayons gamma, un capteur de rayonnement pour mesurer un rayonnement dans un spectre de rayons X ou un spectre gamma, un système de base de données adapté pour au moins récupérer, stocker et traiter les données mesurées par les capteurs. En outre, l'invention concerne un procédé d'identification d'un sujet textile et, en outre, un programme informatique et un procédé mis en œuvre par ordinateur de classification de sujets textiles.
