The present invention provides a drain filter capable of undergoing a desired maintenance operation without coming into contact with a foreign matter inside a filter body, and a washing machine. The drain filter (100) comprises: a filter body (30), which is mounted in a housing (20), extends in a longitudinal direction, and filters washing water by means of a filter surface (F) of the filter body; an operating component (C), which is arranged in an internal space (S) and can move in a longitudinal movement direction (D); an operation part (50), which is assembled to the filter body (30) and can operate from the outside, wherein the operation part (50) is provided with a rotatable disassembly/assembly rod (51) for removing the filter body (30) from the housing (20), and an operation rod (53) capable of being pushed/pulled in the movement direction (D). The operation rod (53) comprises a shaft part (53a), wherein the shaft part (53a) passes through a rotating center (O) of the disassembly/assembly rod (51), and
