Selon certains aspects, les techniques décrites dans la présente invention concernent un procédé consistant à : générer des bits d'indice de Knuth (QK) quantifiés pour un mot de code, les bits d'indice QK étant sélectionnés dans une liste de bits QK; calculer une partie de parité sur la base des données utiles et des bits d'indice QK; combiner la charge utile, la partie de parité et les bits d'indice QK pour former un mot de code; et écrire le mot de code dans un dispositif de mémoire.
