An optical connection component according to one embodiment of the present disclosure relates to an optical connection component having a structure for reducing optical coupling loss between external devices constituted by materials having differing thermal expansion coefficients. The optical connection component is provided with a glass substrate and a lens. The glass substrate has a first substrate end surface, a second substrate end surface, and a core, and comprises a glass material transparent to the wavelength of light propagating through the core. The lens is disposed on the surface of the glass substrate in a state of being optically coupled to the core.
