Disclosed in the present application is a chassis dynamometer for testing a vehicle. The chassis dynamometer comprises a front wheel test assembly; a rear wheel test assembly; and a control device, wherein the front wheel test assembly comprises a front chassis; two universal sliding platforms slidably arranged on the front chassis in a second direction perpendicular to a first direction and a vertical direction and configured to be rotatable about the vertical direction; a front hub bracket rotatably arranged on the universal sliding platforms; and a turning power-assisted driving device fixed to the front hub bracket and configured to drive the front hub bracket to rotate about the vertical direction.
